Ron Paul Has Shown Himself to be an Anti-Semite and a Racist…

bio_sh2.jpg

For all those on the fringe, including white supremacists I hear, who are getting really excited about anti-war, libertarian Republican Ron Paul, it’s worth noting that he’s is nothing more than a racist and anti-Semite hiding behind Constitutional rhetoric. Of course this makes sense as well seeing our founding fathers were racists as well. You remember that whole 3/5 of a person thing…right?

Mr. Paul once wrote that “By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government” and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism. (ref. Wonkette)

These and many other racist comments, some veiled, some not, have been out there since the mid-1990s, but Ron Paul has been below the radar until now. The problem for him now is that his fringe supporters cannot un-ring the bell, and they get downright snooty when the issue comes up. If Ron Paul is going to stay in this fight then debate moderators should press him on a few of these ramblings…

The blog Wonkette quoted a 1996 story in the Houston Chronicle about a 1992 Ron Paul newsletter:

A 1992 newsletter by Republican congressional candidate Ron Paul highlighted portrayals of blacks as inclined to criminal behavior and lacking sense.

For instance, on gang crime in Los Angeles, Paul commented:

“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.”

Paul is also quoted as saying…

“Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”

In that same 1996 AP story, Ron Paul said his 1992 comments were taken out of context.

“These aren’t my figures,” Paul said this week. “That is the assumption you can gather from” the report.

He also wrote:

“Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action.”

I guess meaning the other 95% don’t?

I have not been shy about the fact on this blog or my radio show that I believe many Republicans are racists by default anyway. Ron Paul is trying to cover his racism and anti-Semitism by back peddling during campaign stops and claiming that the Constitution dictates where he stands on race.

Hogwash.

Paul is a good old fashioned country boy from Texas and if he had his way, we would have Christian theocracy, a white landscape, no Jews and a full scale retreat to Jacksonian ideals. His social conservative agenda is dangerous and outdated. Turning backward will not solve the complex problems that face our nation today, only level headed, progressive, common sense policies in the areas of international trade and domestic policy will help us out of this current funk. Three out of the last four presidents, all Republiacn handed us the hand we have now by the way…do we really need another one, moreover…this one?

One can only hope Ron Paul’s effort fizzles with white supremacists and fundamentalist Christians. I believe we need a long overdue break from that crowd.

  1. Hey, you’re about 15 years too late.

  2. The articles were gostwritten, i.e. they were not “written” by Ron Paul. This was discovered months ago. Do your research.

  3. That shit has been so throughly debunked even the white power dorks at stormfront do not believe that Ron Paul is a white nationalist.

    Democrats are the real racists!

  4. If Ron Paul is so anti semitic, why is it that his hero, Ludwig von Mises was Jewish? And another of his teachers, Murray Rothbard was also Jewish.
You might want to take a look at his actual writings on the topic of race. See http://www.ronpaullibrary.org.

  5. Ron Paul is a sincere 72 year old man that has had the same message for 30 plus years. If the Constitution is anti anything than we should take care of ourselves first. We get ourselves into too much trouble trying to get into problems i nthe middle east. Maybe you shouldnt be scared that we would have a man that votes with integrity to our founding fathers. Maybe you care about others making our policy overseas.

  6. Seriously, everything here is a repeat of debunked stories. Nice fresh blog.

  7. I see no back peddling. He mentions that he didn’t write the words himself…someone wanted to know if he had…he said no. What’s the issue?

Is he wrong regarding the lobbyist? Do you have a better opinion of the situation? By all means, lets hear it.

I would bet my paycheck that if you ask police authorities in Washington or New York if such opinions that Pauls newletter hits apon are accurate, they’d say yes.

    So, really, whats your point?

  8. Then why does he have so many Jewish and black American’s supporting him?

  9. I’m glad that Dr. Paul’s message is making enough waves that both Fascists and now Socialists are attacking him with the same non-sense you spew above. Ron Paul opposes aid to Israel for the same reasons that he opposes aid to Arab countries and the welfare leviathan at home (Hint: It breeds dependence, resentment and entangling alliances regardless of your ‘good intentions.’) Any voter with common sense can research Ron Paul’s views and track record without resorting to blind hate speech in your commentary, and I hope they do…

  10. The quotes you are ascribing to Dr. Paul were written by someone else, under Paul’s name. Ron Paul is such a decent man that he took responsibility for it and apologized even though he didn’t write those things. He figured that he wasn’t paying close enough attention to what some guest authors were writing in his column – so it was his responsibility. Any other politician would have immediately pointed the finger at the author and saved his own ass.

Ron Paul is a very different character. He believes in the principles he speaks about, and he speaks often about responsibility as the companion of liberty.

I would suggest that it is time that you take responsibility for the false information that you are posting and remove the offending posts and publish a retraction.

  11. Repeating this bullshit doesn’t make it true…this blog goes on the boycott list.

    /ignore

  12. …furthermore…

He was born and raised in Pennsylvania — not a country boy from Texas.

He is a staunch advocate of the Constitution — would rail against theocracy.

Apparently you think he also has a plan to exterminate all non-whites and Jews….. well, your sadistic imagination is sure working at full throttle, I’ll give ya that.

Do you do ANY research before you start typing?

Let me clue you in. I am a socially VERY liberal, fiscally conservative ATHIEST who actually has taken the time to research Ron Paul and his philosophy (unlike you) and I will vote for president for the first time in my life NOT holding my nose – voting for Ron Paul.

This is not to say that RP is perfect or that I agree with him on everything, but he has more honesty, integrity and wisdom than all the other presidential candidates (R) and (D), combined.

  13. Yes, it’s the statist/socialist so called ‘progressive’ democrats who are indeed the real racists. They would perpetuate the bondage of minorities with their endless entitlements forever if given the chance.

And yes, the ISRAEL lobby is by far the worst of the really bad powerful groups swaying our foriegn policy in Washington. Why on earth would anyone think that it is okay for ANY country to even attempt to influence our government into putting their interests before our own!?

  14. Criticising the Israeli lobby in Washington is not anti-semitism or anything like it. Many Jews make the same points. Many Israelis do too.

Ron Paul is not a racist and has spoken eloquently and often about the real root of racism which is collectivism. He is a consistent champion of individualism and opposes the very idea group rights.

Nice try, Podoba. Are you a warmonger? They usually tells lies.

  15. Sigh… just another post full of twisting and misinformation.

  16. Proof that anyone can blog.

  17. This is all they got? How pathetic.

  18. I don’t think I’m the only one getting sick and tired of these “anti-semitic” smears being plastered on anyone who is in any way not totally supportive of the Zionist agenda.

  19. Well, I see the Ron Paul Army got an early start today.

    To all Ron Paul loyalists…

    Give me a break.

Ron Paul and his clan have consistently tried to say that the words above weren’t written by him (but rather someone else (a ghost writer) helping him with his newsletter). As usual, they dismiss any blog or news article that reports the facts…this blog apparently being no exception.

I would appreciate it if all of you would stop insulting America’s collective intelligence please. Let’s be serious if possible. If these words appeared in Ron Paul’s newsletter, a newsletter proported to be his own words, and published as such, THEN HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE WORDS! It doesn’t matter matter who wrote them. Most every biography ever written has been ghost written as well as many other works! All of that work is still the responsibility of the person listed in the by-line!

If Ron Paul failed to proof his own newsletter prior to release, while letting some nameless, faceless ‘ghostwriter’ run amok, then he is irresponsible as well.

Personally, I would NEVER let anyone post on this blog using my by-line, without authorizing the content. I suspect Ron Paul is a liar, nothing more.

These comments appeared in Ron Paul’s newsletter and that cannot be undone no matter how much Ron Paul supporters try to beat people up over it. Deal with it.

    Have a nice day 🙂

  20. Did you copy and past this crap from the other dozen blogs who were faster than you? this has already been dismissed. This is why bloggers are not real journalists, write something fresh please. hack.

  21. To argue that Ron Paul’s failure to control his newletter makes him a racist is sadistically dishonest. Podoba’s silly argument is that if those words appeared in Ron Paul’s newsletter (even without his knowledge), then he is a racist.

That is an utterly dishonest and irrational argument. Deal with it.

  22. Miranda,

You’re right. Bloggers are not journalists, they are opinion writers. Thanks for clearing that up. Also, I have no interest in ‘scooping’ as you suggest, only critical analysis of facts and ultimately the truth. Only Ron Paul and his band of followers have dismissed these charges of racism. Thinking people are still questioning it.

  23. “critical analysis of facts and ultimately the truth”

Call an ambulance, I just fell out of my chair laughing so hard. I need to get me one of those bubble suits you must be wearing that transforms reality in such a way that you can possibly beleive anything written above is worth the pixel heat it generates on my screen.

You got your trash inserted into gogle riding on the Ron Paul keywords, congratulations, now please go take your medicine to keep your psychosis in check before you bring it to light again with another post.

  24. Rich,

You are typical of all the Paul disciples. You are a blind loyalist that does nothing but degrade and insult those trying to make a point. I noticed that conspicuously missing from your comment is any EVIDENCE to counter my argument. I’ll be posting on Paul’s voting record soon to reinforce his latent racism. I’m sure you’ll love those inconvenient facts. Thanks for reinforcing my suspicion that Paul followers are a group of those a bit unglued and quite ugly just under the surface.

  25. Ron Paul, my former boss, is not an explicit Anti-Semite, but he is most certainly anti-Israel and one could make a strong case – outright anti-Jewish.

During my 6-year stint with him, I served as his only Jewish staffer. He regularly touted me as proof against allegations that he wasn’t an Anti-Semite, even one time ordering me to wear Jewish clothing and attend a press conference of his Democrat opponent who was exposing his links to Anti-Semitic groups. I felt used.

(For the record, Ron did not know I was Jewish until I had already been hired.)

Ron and I finally departed ways, partly because I was ashamed to work for such an explicitly anti-Israel advocate.

If you still doubt his anti-Jewish/anti-Israel views, ask yourself this question:

Why is it that when Ron Paul talks about the evils of taxpayer dollars going overseas for foreign aid, he only singles out Israel as a recipient? Why does he never mention the billions we send each year to Egypt for foreign aide? Turkey, the Palestinians, other Nations? Never a peep out of Paul about those dollars. It’s just always the “Jews.”

    Eric Dondero, Fmr. Senior Aide
    US Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX)
    1997-2003

  26. BTW, for the record, Mathew Padoba is half-right about the comments by Paul.

In fairness, the comments about Blacks being “fleet-footed” were written for Ron, though published under his name in his Ron Paul Newsletter, by his Top behind the scenes aide Lew Rockwell.

But the other comments about Israel being the most powerful lobby, were definitely Ron Paul’s words. In fact, I’ve heard him say similar comments on numerous occasions, some far more explicit, to private quasi-Anti-Semitic groups.

So yes, the comments about Black Americans was ghost-written. This is a well-known fact by Ron Paul insiders. In fact, Ron was severely attacked by the Victoria Advocate and the Austin and Houston media in our Congressional Campaign on this very issue in 1996.

But the Jewish comments are very accurate.

  27. My full name is Eric Dondero Rittberg. I am technically half-Jewish. My Mother is Jewish and my Father Italian.

I am proud of both my Italian and Jewish backgrounds.

And I have been Bar-Mitzvahed, and can read and speak some Hebrew.

  28. Eric, You are either Jewish or you aren’t. That would be like me saying I am half Christian. One is a faith and the other a nationality.

Get your act together Eric and stop lying on all these different Blogs. You got fired by Rep. Paul and trying to claim otherwise is an outright lie.

If you have evidence that Lew Rockwell was the writer of the article in question please post it. Either physical, video or audio evidence will do. No hearsay, or innuendo.

  29. Texas Little El,

Can you prove he was fired? By the way, it well known Lew Rockwell is a Ron Paul zeolot. Not sure about the ghostwriter part though…but if someone can produce evidence…

  30. Actually, Rep. Paul in an interview with Reason said that Eric Dondero was fired. Now it is up to Mr. Dondero’s to prove that he wasn’t or that Rep. Paul slandered or Libeled him by stating he was fired.

    http://www.reason.com/blog/show/120338.html

The ball is now back in Eric Dondero’s court; either put up or shut up.

  31. I also ask the question of Mr. Podoba, will he actually report on how Mr. Paul voted or will he get the Congressional record when Mr. Paul speaks on why he voted a given direction.

Rep. Paul has put forward legislation several times for a Constitutional Amendment just to taunt the GOP leaders exposing their hypocrisy knowing full well they say one thing but vote 180 degree’s in the opposite direction.

Mr. Podoba needs to be consistent if he wishes to be taken seriously Chem Trails and or 35 Million Americans going hungry.

  32. Dude,
I do not care what he said, he the only honest American running for president. Do you really think all of his support going to go away because YOU discovered some crap that already been proven false. Let me tell you about Ron Paul:
    Voted against the patriot act
    Never voted to raise taxes
    Voted to secure the border
Now I will admit that these thing can be debated, but at least he is honest. Ron Paul unlike the writer of this blog feels that we get our rights from being individuals or people and not from belonging to race or a group. That something he actually said. Grasp.

    Grow up loser.

  33. MJ "revoltingpawn"

    Noah..

Once again we have to tell a Ron Paul supporter that this is a blog is for intelligent conversation and not personal attacks.

Any more comments like this will not be approved…

  34. Eric,

Why don’t to stop writing all these lies about Ron Paul? Didn’t you dispute rumors that you were fired and say you used him as a reference? If what you say is true then this is how you repay him? What a disgraceful act!

As far as Ron Paul saying he wants to eliminate aid to Israel; Ron Paul was on CNN the other night and said he wants to end aid to all countries so quit trying to make this issue about Israel!

American aid to Israel is mainly for Israel to buy weapons from American Defense Contractors; NOTHING MORE THAN A SUBSIDY FOR AMERICAN COMPANIES and that is why he wants to end it!

  35. Lies…Lies…Lies… Eric was fired! Here’s the article!

    http://www.reason.com/blog/show/120338.html

Let’s hear your response to this one Eric? I think it’s time we expose you for what you are!

  36. Eric Dondero is the one behind this whole smear campaign, I did a google search with his name and with lonestartimes, then his name and don black, then his name and JTA …..HE is the one who supposedly discovered the whole don black 500 dollar donation and the use of the ron paul 2008 widget on stormfront, he is also posting all over the web under alias’s and spreading this lie, no one thinks it strange that don black who is a media whore hasnt taken credit for this donation? he hasnt taken credit for it because I believe he never made it, lonestartimes did not confirm this with don black either, but everyone has been posting it linked or credited back to lonestartimes, which also has a nice little petition on it from ron pauls competitor none other than eric dondero…you mr. dondero, lone star times, the JTA and Michael Medved had better be able to defend yourself about your lack of checking facts and spreading a smear campaign, it wasnt hard for me to find out, i am will alert everyone to the fraud you are…nice try, you wont win a congressional seat, but you should probably be brought up on charges of slander. Eric Dondero also has a radio show where he is the leading liberal expert or some such foolishness and has stated his bad opinion all over the web about Dr. Paul, in his words trying to let everyone know HIS opinon of Dr. Paul. leaving out the fact he was FIRED and is RUNNING for CONGRESS…..what a FRAUD! now he is claiming to be Jewish. you looking for a neo nazi you found him, and his name is Eric Dondero!!!!!!!!!

  37. RP wants to eliminate all foreign aid. Israel, Egypt, all of them. He is not anti-semitic, his is pro American.

    There is a huge difference.

  38. Mr. Dondero, your claims of Ron Paul never talking about opposing foreign aid only when it comes to Israel is patently false. What is even worse is that you risk your integrity by doing this, but it is more obvious that integrity means very little to you. Mind I point you to an age old video of Ron Paul criticizing foreign aid to Russia? Maybe I shouldn’t. Maybe I should just let you Google it yourself, since you appear to know so much about Ron Paul. For a supposed Ron Paul insider, you should know him better. Unfortunately, your change, not Ron Paul’s change because Ron Paul has been saying the same thing for ages, has turned you into another person.

I won’t tease you any longer. Check out this video from 1988 (almost twenty years!):

  39. I think he has jewish background from researching his family tree I find the name Ziegler which is jewish name and other jewish linage. Alls I can say is I hope this isnt Operation Trojan Horse since he says he admires Reagan several times who brought us the Fema Rex 84 and Garden Plot plan, remember history especially in Russia, when they took over research how they were able to put and kill 20 million in Russian Gulag which nobody wants to talk about, get the book Russian Archipelo, I believe the proponents of gathering up resistance against communism were actually working for the other side to get name and addresses to flush out the enemy, those who do not study history, well you know the rest.

  40. Ron Paul is America’s version of Ahmadinejad.

  41. Ron Paul is a doctor, and his prescription for America is a constitutional enema! That has the intestinal blockages worried!

  42. Wow – I love how this is the only argument the Neocons can come up with against Paul. I love how you say that you are prejudice against republicans by default in an article that purports someone else is prejudice against another group. That’s very hypocritical.

Did I read correctly that you have a pro-Huckabee article? You support someone who believes that we should quarantine AIDS patients. This is completely ridiculous. I hope your server crashes.

  43. The article on Huckabee merely reports that he is leading in South Carolina. No need to get nasty. If you bothered to read other posts on this blog, you would know that we actually report the facts. I know Paul supporters have an issue with that.

  44. very interesting, but I don’t agree with you
