Pat Tillman Murdered ?…New Details…

 

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman’s forehead as reported recently by the Washington Post and the Associated Press, and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player’s death amounted to a crime, according to autopsy documents.

“The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described,” a doctor who examined Tillman’s body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

The doctors – whose names were blacked out – said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

Ultimately, the Pentagon did conduct a criminal investigation, and asked Tillman’s comrades whether he was disliked by his men and whether they had any reason to believe he was deliberately killed. The Pentagon eventually ruled that Tillman’s death at the hands of his comrades was a friendly-fire accident.

Is anyone surprised that the corruption in this Army is stcked as high as it is? The U.S. military is trying to sell the war in Iraq with about as much success as an associate at Sears trying to sell a blind man a television. In both cases, there’s no use for it. It seems perfectly convenient and consistent to me that the U.S. army would have Pat Tillman killed and turn it into a public relations campaign.  

However, no matter how low the collective morals of the military have sunk, the fact is that Tillman was probably acting out his nationalist-patriotic fantasies forged from watching too many years of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne movies. Maybe he thought he was bullet proof and decided to insert himself into a situation he didn’t need to insert himself into. He wasn’t rescuing someone who was wounded or fending off an attack against a hospital compound. He simply put himself into a war that no one supports and where he really didn’t need to be…and he paid for it. It’s hard to say I have any sympathy for his death because I don’t feel like his “service” was necessary. He wasn’t defending me as much as the Bush administration would have you believe he was, nor was he defending the Afghani people. He was acting on macho driven bravado whose flames have been fanned by the Bush administration and every other misguided person that continues to support this war. It would be criminal nevertheless, if an assasin’s bullet did him in, then I believe this should be investigated to the fullest extent possible. Bottom line, the U.S. military is accountable to the American people, not Bush’s ridiculous and destructive talking points or foolish ideology.
